Claim
India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka will become a part of Akhand Bharat (United India) without any war.
Fact
Viral video is digitally manipulated.
A video allegedly showing India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka will become part of Akhand Bharat (Undivided India or Greater India) without any war is going viral on TikTok.
TikTok user @ajay.gurung222 posted a video showing Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivering a speech. The video also carries a photo of Rastriya Swatantra Party leader Balendra Shah. Text superimposed on the video reads, “PM Modi’s message after the electoral victory of Rastriya Swatantra Party.” In the video Modi is heard saying, “Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka will become part of Akhanda Bharat (united India) without any war. Our main objective is Pakistan.”

The video posted on March 14 has garnered 3669 likes, 1142 users have shared it and 140 people have commented until the last count.
The archived version of the TikTok video can be seen here.
Newschecker found the claim to be misleading.
To check the veracity of the claim, News checker split the video into several key frames and ran reverse searches on them. A reverse search on the video led us to a video, dated March 13, 2026, posted on the YouTube channel of NDTV.
On checking the video, we found that the video matching the frame from the viral clip actually showed PM Narendra Modi speaking at the NXT Summit 2026 in Delhi. We also found a full video from the same event on the YouTube channel of Narendra Modi. We checked the video thoroughly but didn’t find him uttering a single word about ‘Akhand Bharat’ or Nepal in his entire speech at the event. But we found that the video frame at 17:05-minute timestamp showing people in the audience exactly matched the frame from the viral video at 0:6-minute timestamp.

We then downloaded the viral clip, and checked it by using multiple AI detection tool. Hive Moderation results indicated that the audio was 99.6 percent likely to be created by using AI.

Detect Resemble found that the audio was fake.
As the alleged statement by PM Modi in the viral video is controversial, we checked if there was any clarification from the government of India regarding the video.
On digging further, we found a fact-check verification by the Indian government’s press information bureau on its official X (formerly twitter) handle. The PIB India noted on its fact-check of a longer version of the same video that a digitally manipulated video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is being circulated online by Pakistani propaganda accounts.
Thus, our findings clearly indicated that the viral video is deep-fake.
No, Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not say Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka will become a part of Akhand Bharat (Undivided or Greater India) without any war. A video of Modi addressing the NXT summit is manipulated digitally with the help of AI.
