The photo also shows journalists and onlookers watching Harka Sampang being escorted by police.  Text superimposed on the video reads, “Breaking News Harka Sampang has been arrested.” The caption doesn’t explain the reason for his arrest.

The report notes his active and vocal presence on the house floor, where he chanted slogans demanding to know the Prime Minister’s whereabouts. 

A Nepal News online report dated May 15, 2026, confirmed that Sampang issued a formal statement demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Balen Shah, accusing him of disrespecting parliamentary practice.
